What Is Your Record Costing You?

A conviction from 10 or 20 years ago can still block the life you’ve built. If any of these sound familiar, a pardon may be the answer.

Can’t Buy or Carry a Firearm

A felony conviction strips your Second Amendment rights. A pardon with firearm rights restoration is the path to getting them back in Georgia.

Business Licensing Blocked

Professional licenses, contractor bonds, and commercial leases often require a clean background check. Your old record is standing in the way.

Background Checks Holding You Back

Every job application, partnership opportunity, or business deal that runs a background check puts your past on display. A pardon changes that.

How We Help

Two proven paths to clearing your record and restoring your rights in Georgia.

Georgia Pardons

A pardon is an official statement of forgiveness from the State Board of Pardons and Paroles. It doesn’t erase the conviction, but it restores your rights and tells the world you’ve moved on.

  • Must have completed sentence 5+ years ago
  • No pending charges or new convictions
  • Demonstrated rehabilitation and stability
  • We handle the full application and investigation

Gun Rights Restoration

A standard pardon does not automatically restore firearm rights. You must apply for a specific Restoration of Firearm Rights alongside your pardon application.

  • Applied for with your pardon petition
  • Board reviews criminal history and rehabilitation
  • Restores right to purchase, possess, and carry
  • We build your case for the Board’s review

Common Questions

How long does the process take?

The typical timeline is approximately 3 to 12 months from start to finish. This includes gathering documentation, submitting the application, and the Court or Board’s investigation and review period.

Will a pardon restore my gun rights?

Not automatically. You must apply for a specific Restoration of Firearm Rights alongside your pardon. We file both together so the Board considers them at the same time. Retroactive First Offender will restore your gun rights.

Am I eligible if I have a felony from 15+ years ago?

Likely yes, if you’ve completed all terms of your sentence (including probation and parole) at least 5 years ago, have no pending charges, and have lived a law-abiding life since. Even a misdemeanor traffic conviction can reset the 5-year clock. We’ll confirm your eligibility on the consultation call.

Does a pardon erase my criminal record?

A pardon is an official statement of forgiveness — it doesn’t erase the record, but it restores your civil rights and demonstrates to employers, licensing boards, and others that the State of Georgia has formally forgiven the offense. There are additional steps after a pardon we can take to restrict and seal the convictions from public access.

How much does it cost?

We’ll discuss fees during your free consultation. Every case is different based on complexity, number of convictions, and whether gun rights restoration is included. There is no fee to apply to the Board itself — our fee covers the legal work of building and filing your case.
