Paul Ellis joins Yates Law Group as the Accounts Manager after serving for the past three year as a contract Resource Advisor for the United States Property and Fiscal Office for the Georgia Department of Defense. Prior to moving to Georgia in December 2012 Paul served as a Resource Manager for the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs in the Construction and Facilities Management Office from 2007 to 2012. As a full time Military Technician for the Arizona National Guard Major Paul Ellis was directly responsible for the management of over $50 million dollars of military construction projects and supervised a staff of five State Budget Analysts. Previously he served as a Public Affairs Officer for Operation Jump Start Border mission in Arizona in 2006 and as the Commander of Delta Battery 2nd Battalion, 180th Field Artillery (Security Force) during Operation Iraqi Freedom III with service in Kuwait and Qatar from October 2004 to January 2006. In 2008 Paul had the opportunity to serve as the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Officer and Battle Captain for the Arizona National Guard support of Super Bowl XLII in Glendale, Arizona. Paul retired from the Arizona Army National Guard in December 2012 with over 26 years combined Active, Reserve, and National Guard service.
Prior to his deployment Paul worked for over fourteen years in the insurance industry as a Senior Claims Adjuster for State Farm and AIG, Claims Supervisor for Midland Risk Insurance and a Commercial Trucking Claims Adjuster for Swift Transportation. Paul has a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security and Safety Engineering from National University, La Jolla, California (2007) and a Master’s of Science in Accounting from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona (2014). Paul is looking forward to assisting Yates Law Group clients with insurance related cases and with their individual accounts with the firm.
